Royal Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce two of the largest retail leasing transactions of 2016  in Rockland County , NY.  T.J. Maxx and Sierra Trading Post signed long-term ten-year leases with options totaling 45,000 square feet within Rockland Center located at 43 Route 59 in Nanuet, NY.

T.J. Maxx will occupy 25,000 square feet and Sierra Trading, 19,500 square feet.   Both of these concepts upgrade the already exciting tenant mix at Rockland Center and bring more fashion opportunities into the Rockland County market. Both T.J. Maxx and Sierra are expected to open in September 2017.

With T.J. Maxx taking a portion of the former Pathmark Supermarket there will be 30,000 square feet of exceptional  retail space remaining, which can be sub divided.  In addition, Rockland Center has 3,000 square feet and a 7,500 square foot space available next to HomeGoods.

Rockland Center is a 265,000 square foot shopping center, which will undergo a transformation in 2017 with the signing of these two new retailers.  T.J. Maxx and Sierra will join such retailers as HomeGoods, PetSmart, AC Moore, Party City, Big Lots, AutoZone, Five Guys, Chili’s Restaurant & Grill and a varied combination of local and regional retailers.
“TJX Companies was drawn to the Rockland Center due to the success of the existing HomeGoods as well as its highly visible location on Route 59 in Nanuet. We believe that with a population of over 215,000 people in a five-mile radius and traffic counts in excess of 31,000 cars per day along Route 59, Rockland Center is the ideal place to expand the TJX concepts,” says David Landes,  who along with Jeanine Kemm represented the landlord in this transaction.
